We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Media Strategist with 3-5 years of experience to join our Performance Marketing team. The Senior Media Strategist will participate in all aspects of executing high-profile and complex paid media campaigns on networks like TikTok, Meta, Google, Snapchat & more! This includes initial planning, creative briefing, implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational understanding of paid digital marketing KPIs, hands-on experience managing paid social campaigns with budgets more than $300,000 monthly, and a passion for data-driven A/B testing. Experience in higher education is a plus. A successful candidate in this role can flex from analytical and detail-oriented tasks to creative and collaborative assignments while managing multiple projects simultaneously to ensure campaign deadlines are met.
Responsibilities:
- Actively implement and manage paid digital campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, and more
- Analyze and report on performance data and provide intelligent synthesis, interpretation, and appropriate action plans based on conclusions.
- Assist Director of Performance Marketing in developing media strategy and building media plans (including audience targeting and segmentation, messaging, flighting, budgeting, etc.)
- Maintain high levels of up-to-date knowledge of best practices and strategies in social media and paid social media (betas, ad network updates, innovation opportunities, etc.)
- Maintain knowledge of the dynamic digital ecosystem (search, social, native, display) and how channels work together.
· Collaborate with creative & compliance teams to ensure ad creatives are aligned with the media buying strategy for optimal performance.
- Build effective relationships with all vendors – ad networks, technology partners, etc.
- Manage creative briefing and approval process using Cygnus’s proprietary ComplyEd.
- Collaborate with the broader digital marketing, teams to ensure paid digital marketing strategies are aligned across customer touchpoints
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience planning & buying cross-platform paid social media ads within native platforms. **Facebook Ads Manager and a minimum of 3 years Direct Response experience is a must**
- Understanding of paid media KPIs, including CAC, CPC, CPA, CPM, etc.
- Google Ads experience. Google certification a plus.
- Experience in Google Ads Editor
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to project manage campaign deliverables to ensure creative assets, audiences, and other campaign inputs remain on schedule.
- Experience in writing creative briefs for paid media campaigns and pulling reports to assess creative performance is required.
- Has a test-and-learn approach to marketing, with the ability to strategically assess new opportunities (audiences, creative, or inventory) and make data-driven decisions to drive measurable performance improvements.
- A strong communicator with a can-do, positive attitude and a willingness to pitch in to get things done.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with Google Slides, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
