About the Role
Uber Eats is looking for a Strategic Operations Manager to manage the launch and early life cycle growth strategy for Grocery and Retail partners on the platform. This operations role calls for a combination of creative problem-solving, operational optimization, data analytics, and project management. You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, enjoy solving problems and thrive in a startup environment. You will work cross-functionally with other teams and external partners to launch and grow this new arm of the Uber Eats business.
What You'll Do:
- Build: As we grow grocery and retail on Uber Eats, we will work to bring more visibility to Eaters about the wide offering of selection in our platform and drive incremental growth for merchants. This role will be responsible for putting launch plans together and executing early growth for the US and Canadian grocery, convenience, alcohol and retail businesses.
- Analyze: Quantify everything you do. Utilize data-driven decision making to understand business trends and craft your recommendations to senior leadership and external partners.
- Test and improve: Create and execute the roadmap for improving return on investment and growth for both the business and our merchants through methodical testing and learnings implementation.
- Turn strategy into action: Program manage all aspects of the launch plan to scale the launch efforts in a systematic way
- Collaborate: Work with internal and external stakeholders to create new ways for merchants to grow on the platform and maximize their growth dollars, understanding how the marry the goals of Uber Eats and the merchant for mutually-beneficial programming
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data driven decision making
- Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
- 3+ years' experience in consulting, marketplace growth, operations, strategy, technology or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
- SQL proficiency highly preferred
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$91,000 per year - USD$101,500 per year.
For Miami, FL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$91,000 per year - USD$101,500 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$101,000 per year - USD$112,500 per year.
