The Opportunity
With a blend of digital fundraising strategy and compelling storytelling, the Digital Fundraising Manager plays a key role in increasing donor engagement and contributions at the annual giving level.
Reporting to the Co-Director (Development and Communications), this role involves planning, executing, and optimizing multichannel fundraising campaigns across various digital platforms. This position supervises the Development Coordinator, and serves as the project manager and liaison to the Development Committee during our annual spring fundraising campaign, Fund-a-Thon.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Campaign Management (50%)
- Plan, create, and execute engaging multichannel fundraising campaigns on digital platforms (email, social media, website, SMS, video).
- Produce and oversee creative elements and messaging for all digital campaigns.
- Manage and grow the organization’s sustaining donor program.
- Manage internal and external email marketing and communications, including newsletters and cultivation emails to current and prospective donors.
- Implement email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, audience journeys, personalized communications, and automation.
- Develop and execute project timelines, collaborating with internal/external partners to ensure timely delivery.
Data Analysis and Process Optimization (15%)
- Analyze fundraising results to identify trends and patterns for data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor campaign performance, conduct A/B testing, and adjust strategies to maximize donations.
- Define fundraising metrics based on industry standards and/or past performance to establish goals.
- Provide recommendations and implement new approaches for improving online giving processes and digital conversion rates.
- Design measures and reports to demonstrate accomplishments, identify areas for improvement, and track overall revenue increases.
Digital Fundraising Strategy (15%)
- Advise the Co-Director on digital fundraising strategy, ensuring that multichannel digital campaigns are aligned with overall fundraising, engagement, and acquisition goals.
- Work with the Co-Director to develop donor moves management plans and policies that integrate digital fundraising strategy.
- Research marketing and engagement trends to stay current and competitive.
Leadership and Managing for Results (20%)
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Co-Director in the creation and execution of the organization’s annual fundraising plan.
- Work closely with the Co-Director to manage and support the Board Development Committee, serving as the project manager and liaison for Fund-a-Thon.
- Supervise, support, and provide mentorship to the Development Coordinator.
- Leverage project plans to identify manageable goals, monitor progress, motivate others to action, and hold team members accountable across varying levels of positional authority.
Key Qualifications
Related Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in digital fundraising, with proven expertise in pipeline development, donor journeys, revenue growth, and process improvement.
- Experience crafting compelling fundraising campaigns – including narrative, copy, and design – with demonstrated experience galvanizing digital communities.
- Proven leadership in managing people or teams, with a track record of guiding and overseeing teams to successfully achieve project or organizational objectives.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools such as Google Ad Manager, email marketing platforms (MailChimp), donation management platforms, CRM software (Little Green Light), common web analytics tools (Google Analytics), and specialized tools for digital conversion.
- Strong awareness of digital marketing, fundraising, and advocacy best practices, as well as industry trends.
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
- Results-oriented with the ability to pivot effectively between projects while remaining focused on priorities and goals.

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
