Position Overview
Community Brands is a dynamic and innovative SaaS company seeking a talented website developer with 5-7 years of experience to join our branding and corporate marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Creative and Brand, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our WordPress-based websites, working closely with designers to ensure optimal functionality and user experience. Expertise in building websites using WordPress from start to finish is a must, with expertise in page builder tools such as Divi or Elementor Pro. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of website best practices, including site architecture, sitemap creation, plugin management, page optimization, accessibility requirements and mobile optimization with some knowledge of CSS and JavaScript. This role is instrumental in driving the evolution of our web experience, ensuring it meets the highest standards of functionality, usability, and accessibility. Portfolio of work and ability to speak to implementation is a must.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Position Summary
1. Website Development:
Design, develop, and maintain responsive and visually appealing WordPress websites.
Collaborate with design team to implement website layouts and features based on creative concepts.
Ensure websites are optimized for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
2. CMS Page Builders:
Proficient in working with popular CMS page builders such as Elementor or Divi.
Create custom page templates and modules to enhance the flexibility of content creation.
3. Best Practices:
Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices.
Implement security measures and follow coding standards to ensure the integrity and security of websites.
4. Website Maintenance:
Perform regular updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing WordPress websites.
Monitor website performance, conduct routine backups, and implement disaster recovery plans.
5. Plugin Management:
Evaluate and integrate third-party plugins to enhance website functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve compatibility issues between plugins and WordPress core updates.
6. Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, communications, marketing operations and digital marketing, to meet project goals.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
7. Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough testing to ensure websites are free of bugs, errors, and compatibility issues.
Implement QA processes to maintain the highest quality standards.
8. Prototyping Tools:
Experience with prototyping tools like Figma for effective collaboration with design teams.

We are looking for someone who brings
- 5-7years of proven experience in WordPress web development.
- Proficient in HTML and CSS.
- Knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins.
- Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with HubSpot Marketing and CMS platform is a plus.

Total Rewards:
- The salary rate for this role is up to $75,000 a year, depending on experience.
